Auroville is a place full of beautiful public buildings and spaces, and one such space is the Town Hall complex. We often go there for administrative and bureaucratic tasks, most of them not much fun. But week is different: the Auroville Film Festival brings a different vibe to the grass fields and gardens of the Town Hall. A space for cultural and artistic encounters has been born.
Through this new window we spontaneously meet new people, new points of views, new ideas. We mingle with each other in an environment that reminds us of the potential of a multicultural, flourishing city. It is so enriching to feel that we can strengthen our community bonds while we maintain our role as part of the bigger world. An International film festival is meant to do just that: to bring the world to Auroville, and Auroville to the world.
