Auroville’s 50th anniversary celebrations began today, Saturday 16th December 2017, kicking off with the 5th Auroville Film Festival – 149 films from 40 countries shown over the next 7 days. Alongside the Film Festival is a Food Festival, showcasing a different international cuisine each night; the opening night features food from Auroville’s African community. There are also art installations, music, drama and dance performances, and an atmosphere not to be missed.
